Sound meditation is a practice that involves using sound as a focal point to cultivate mindfulness and promote relaxation. It harnesses the power of various sounds, such as singing bowls, gongs, bells, or even chanting, to guide individuals into a state of deep relaxation and heightened awareness. Sound in its own right, is a form of meditation. Sound alters the brainwaves and induces what we call the meditative state.
Suggested benefits of sound meditation include: stress reduction, improved sleep, enhanced mental clarity, relaxation, emotional healing.
At Nurture, Flow and Rise with Diane, we offer sound meditation for individuals, groups and as workshops. Sound meditation can also be combined with Reiki within a session.
I use singing crystal bowls, chimes, tuning forks and a shamanic drum in the sessions. The crystal bowls have a frequency of 432Hz which resonates with the Earth's frequency. Each bowl is tuned to a different note and aligns with one of the seven chakras in the body. I can play specific crystal bowls to move, unblock, heal and transform the energy in the corresponding chakra.
My tuning forks are solfeggio which means they each have a frequency that can be used in healing on different levels such as physical pain, feelings of guilt, opening up intuition and helping to articulate feelings.
