Please reach us at nurtureflowandrise@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
A typical Reiki session lasts about 60 minutes, but it can vary depending on the practitioner and the client's needs. At Nurture, Flow and Rise we offer sessions of varying lengths of time.
No, you do not need to undress for a Reiki session. You will remain fully clothed and will only be asked to remove your shoes.
No, you do not need to believe in Reiki for it to work. The energy will still flow through you and promote healing regardless of your beliefs. You just need an open mind.
Everyone has a different experience when they have Reiki. Common experiences include tingling, warmth, coolness, heaviness in the body, a floating sensation, a dream like state, seeing colours particularly purples and blues. Some people may have an emotional release and cry during a session. If you ever feel uncomfortable during a Reiki session, please let Diane know.
You should wear something comfortable that you can sit or lie in. Lying or sitting still during meditation may cause you to feel cooler, so dress in layers and you may wish to bring a blanket.
The honest answer is that it is at the discretion of the practitioner. I prefer to act on the side of caution and therefore, do not do sound meditation with pregnant women.
NO.
Never stop any medical treatment prescribed by your doctor or consultant. The practices I offer are complementary to your other medical treatment.
I will never advise you to stop any medication or medical treatment recommended to you by a health care professional. I do not make diagnoses either.
Absolutely. These practices will still be effective. You just need an open mind and willingness or curiosity to experience them.

You can receive distant Reiki from anywhere in the world.
Dogs can't tell us how they feel through words but they can through their actions. My rule is that if they are happy to sit or lie down to receive Reiki, then that is an acceptance of the treatment. If your dog were to get up and move away, that is an indication that they do not want it. Reiki has to be given with consent, even with dogs!
Send me an email and we can discuss when a session is convenient for you.
It is unethical to give Reiki to anyone who does not give consent to receive it.
I would never want a child to feel stressed about it and therefore they would not have to have Reiki.
If they preferred, we could meditate or do some journaling instead.
Please note, that just because your child has refused to have Reiki, your payment is non-refundable.
If you are unwell, I ask that you contact me as soon as possible. If possible, I will try to change the date of your appointment. With Reiki, I am in close proximity to a client and I would prefer not to be passed any illness. This could affect my ability to work and I could unknowingly transmit the illness to other clients. Although I clean and keep my equipment in good condition, some air born viruses are difficult to prevent transmission.
Please always read my terms and conditions before booking an appointment so that you are aware of whether a session is refundable or not.
