What is EFT (Tapping)?
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), often simply called "tapping," is a gentle, self-help tool used to manage stress, anxiety, and difficult emotions. Think of it as a bridge between modern psychology and ancient wellness practices. It combines the benefits of traditional talk therapy with acupressure—the practice of stimulating specific energy points on the body.
How Does It Work?
When you experience stress, anger, or anxiety, your body goes into a "fight-or-flight" response. EFT works by turning off that alarm system. During a session, you will lightly tap with your fingertips on specific points on your face and upper body while focusing on the issue you want to resolve. This sending a calming signal directly to the stress center of your brain (the amygdala). It lets your brain know that you are safe, allowing your nervous system to relax and release the emotional weight you are carrying.
What Can EFT Help With?
EFT is highly versatile and can be used to support you through a variety of challenges, including:
What to Expect in a Session:
EFT is entirely non-invasive, safe, and easy to learn. Together, we will identify a specific feeling or challenge you are facing. I will guide you through the tapping points and the statements to say out loud. Most clients report feeling a noticeable sense of physical relief and mental clarity after just a few rounds of tapping. The best part about EFT is that once you learn the basics, it is a tool you take home with you—giving you the power to calm your own nervous system whenever you need it most.
